Ghislaine Maxwell has been found guilty by a New York jury of criminal sex-trafficking charges stemming from her years-long relationship with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Jurors convicted Maxwell on five of the six counts filed against her, including criminal sex trafficking, which carries a 40-year maximum sentence. She was cleared on a charge of enticing a minor across state lines to engage in illegal sexual activities.
